Dog-loving soap star Michelle Keegan will be joining in the fun on Puppy Farm Awareness Day in Brighton on 19th Sept 2009.
The Coronation Street actress has had first-hand experience in purchasing a farmed-pup when she bought a puppy from Dogs4Us pet shop supplied by the breeders featured in the recent Sky News report – and said she could not believe what she had seen.
Keegan, who plays character Tina McIntyre, said: “I think it’s just cruel. It looks like a pig farm more than a kennel.
I think it is really disturbing and appalling that dogs can be kept in such confined spaces.”
